Two rooms and a front hall
The Tap Room has the boards. The Back Room has the music.
Both rooms have sprung wooden floors and tall windows. Classes are up to 8 for ages 6 to 8, up to 10 for ages 9 to 11 and up to 12 for older dancers and grown-ups. Dancers hang their bags on hooks in the hall, and street shoes stay at the door to keep the floors clear.

Safety routines
Class size
Classes are up to 8 dancers for ages 6 to 8, up to 10 for ages 9 to 11 and up to 12 for older dancers and grown-ups, so a teacher can see every dancer's feet.
Doors and pickup
A grown-up brings and collects every dancer in the first steps classes, and the teacher hands each dancer to a named grown-up at the door.

Both rooms have sprung wooden floors, and the mats, hoops and spare shoes go back in their baskets after class.
